All of our vases and pots are hand crafted here at Black River.  Each one is hand carved and glazed using our special mixes of glaze.  No two will be exactly alike making each one special.   Each of our   tiles  is individually rolled and hand carved making it a one of a kind.   We use a   technique where the tile is fired multiple times to bring out the highlights in the glaze.  The  techniques used to create  these natural primitive forms are the same as those used in the early 1900’s.
